5 Things for Summer
Outdoor cooking is an unrivaled summer activity. You’re close to nature, but not so close that you might get uncomfortable. This is not the beach where you have to haul everything four miles across sand as a feat endurance and suffering. You have anything you could need. There you are in your backyard where nothing can bother you. You go to the garage refrigerator to grab a beer, put on some music, light the fire and do some cooking. This is obviously important work. You need to drink that beer while you watch the fire heat-up. It wouldn’t be safe to leave it, a kid could stick his hand in there. You’re not just standing around drinking — you’re contributing, and feeding your family. It’s glorious, grilling. There’s nothing in life as simultaneously productive and unproductive.
