Realigning newsletters, new things in the shop and other updates.
In an effort to simplify things I have made the decision to move the ACL GOLF newsletter into this new section of my Substack. If are receiving this email then you have signed up for golf or shop related updates and these moves won’t change much for you.
This newsletter is now a part of my larger ACL world on Substack, so you will only be receiving free updates from this section of the newsletter and not all of the other non-golf stuff. If you are interested in seeing the other stories or subscribing you can toggle over and check out all of the main ACL newsletters and podcasts. I have also created a special golf-focused bundle for new subscribers which includes a LL Bean medium canvas tote as a gift with the ACL GOLF logo. They turned out pretty great and I hope you like them.
In addition to the newsletter, there’s a lot of interesting new stuff in the shop. There is also more new stuff coming this summer including hats, apparel and other collaborations. Some updates and product highlights are below.
Nylon Mackenzie Bags
Once you’ve made the switch to a MacKenzie bag it’s hard to want to use anything else. While I was looking for a bag for my daughter I just couldn’t bring myself to buy one of the kids golf bags from the mass market golf companies. So like a psycho I commissioned an adult and kid matching set of carry bags.

Sometimes I am invited by a member of a fancy club to play golf. Following that generosity I like to send a note of thanks for having such a freeloader like me out there. These golf-centric note cards were designed and made just for that purpose. Or if you don’t get invited places you can just use them to let people know how much of a golf sicko you are.
Golf Note Cards by Terrapin Stationers for ACL GOLF
We partnered with our favorite stationer to create a special set of golf note cards and envelopes. Each card is hand printed and features a unique golf graphic. Set of 10 lithograph-printed note cards with golf iconography. Made in New Haven, Connecticut home of the best pizza in the world.
The Fore Ewe knit headcovers have landed. There’s a variety of sizes from driver to hybrid available and more designs coming. Each of these are knit in Oregon and made exclusively for ACL.

Hey Michael, long time listener but new to golf. I live in the rural Midwest and lack the knowledge of where to get help with my game. I am outright terrible but those few good shots keep me coming back and wanting to get better. I don't have any clubs near me with tour pros to give lessons and definitely need help after years of playing baseball. A friend of mine tells me that my drive always looks like I'm trying to hit it 450 off the scoreboard in left-center. Thanks for any help!
