One of the few bright spots of 2020 was what happened with Rancourt & Co. At a very dark moment the Rancourt family resolved to do something drastic to avoid having to make difficult decisions. What happened next was incredible. Mike and Kyle Rancourt decided that they were going to take a chance on something they have never done before. The company didn’t just need sales, they needed the volume of orders that would fill the factory and keep everyone working. So for the first time in Rancourt’s history it offered shoes directly to its customers at wholesale pricing through a crowd funding campaign. It was a big gamble, but the campaign’s success made it possible for Rancourt to remain at full employment all last year.

I be picked up a pair of natural loafers and I ordered a pair of the black LH soles this time. The delays for the first round didn’t bother me, it’s not like I had places to go and I figured that my order being delayed meant the factory was busy which was the whole point of the crowdfunding in the first place. Next up are a pair of driving mics, just need to settle on a color.
My wife is from Maine so I know how much factories like Rancourt mean to Maine towns. I didn’t participate in the first crowdsourcing campaign but I have purchased my first two pairs of Rancourt shoes in the last six months. They’re great literally the best shoes I’ve ever purchased. Seriously, even though my job is at home now my suede ranger Mocs are on my feet most days!
I’m not sure if any of the styles and this crowdsourcing campaign are for me, but I’ll most likely pick up another pair as we had in the summer. Thanks Kyle and Michael for all you do. You have a great product and a great American story.
Got a pair of the Harrington Slippers for quarantine and they have been a lifesaver around the house. Looking forward to buying more of their Made in USA shoes soon.

Love Rancourt and love this. I ‘had’ to get another pair. Best thing about Rancourts is how good they are in about 3 years.
