I know a lot of creative people who play golf, but they don’t post about it and don’t talk about it. It’s a sort of sleeper cell of people who hate the associations that come with golf but love the game. It’s obvious that the optics of golf are challenged. You’ve heard the arguments. It takes too long. There’s no diversity. Too many polyester polos and obnoxious people driving golf carts smoking cigars. The criticism is fair, but there’s a new wave of golfers who are bringing a new point-of-view to the game and that’s exciting. There’s a lot of interesting things happening in golf right now and a lot of creative people who have embraced the game in a new way.
I have long wondered why no one was making a quality range finder case. Really excited for the Sentinel case...it definitely made my Christmas wishlist.
Returning to this upon the launch of ACL Golf, which looks great. I really like the look of the Sentinel rangefinder case and want one, but then I’m going to have to buy a rangefinder to justify it. Do you have one you recommend as worthy of the case?
Hey Michael. I think it all depends on two things. Your budget and how much pain losing a rangefinder will cause. I think the Precision Pro rangefinder will do the job and tell you the number you want to know — and won't hurt that much if you leave it somewhere. Bushnell makes the higher end stuff that works very well and has more features like slope and a built in magnet for the cart. I personally think whatever can tell you the number is the best option — sort of like the best camera is the one you have on you. Hope this helps.
Do the gift guide, man.
I look forward to your ACL golf. I am a walker and appreciate the purist perspective on style and design

Thanks. I’m guessing any of them would be more precise than just looking for the 150 marker.
Great read - thanks for the thoughts!
Love that you shared this, Michael.
Do you know the price range for the golf clubs from P53? I emailed them a few weeks ago and haven’t back yet.
It's funny to hear that because I haven't heard back from them either. Maybe they went under? Sorry for the trouble.
Ah, not a problem! I assumed they were just busy with requests after your post. :)
1) The First Rule of Fight Club is.... 2) The rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated ;-)
Check out Johnnie-O.
Can’t wait for more golf content. I support skipping the guide.
