We’ve been so moved by the community support in shopping local in Mill Valley… families coming in together, parents giving kids choice in gifts, spreading their budgets across a variety of stores in downtown, proudly exclaiming they’re only buying from small businesses. Also incredibly grateful to all of the heroes on the front lines in our communities around the world doing the work to care for our loved ones and keeping us protected, fed and connected. Emerging from this challenging year feeling radically optimistic that a reprioritization on the villages that provide creativity, culture and community will thrive.

Harsh? Certainly, but not unwarranted. The seamless embrace of Prime Day by Americans is frightening. I can still remember being a child and listening to my mother lament the birth and rise of QVC. Now it seems almost quaint compared to the circus of Amazon Prime Day.

There is nothing quite like feeling, smelling, and trying the real thing on in person. Let alone the knowledge about product to be learned from the employees helping you in the process. There is usually something to see you didnt expect and that is the bonus surprise. Thanks for shining a light.

Thank you Michael for acknowledging Harrison Limited.

I might add that most of the retailers on this list, if they’re anything like myself and our staff, are super enthused about waiting on and serving customers as we emerge from the pandemic and the various levels of limited customer experiences that came with it. There’s an energy that’s akin to renewal in shops and stores all across America. We are eager to see folks, catch up, talk about what’s new and where we think it’s all going. It’s been invigorating!

Keep up the good work and thanks again for your allegiance.
